Feature Overview

  • Platform, Comfort & Controls

    VIEW PHOTOS

The Boomer 3040 Compact Tractor is available with deluxe features that make operation comfortable and easy.

The logical control placement and clean, open Boomer operator platform help you get each job done more quickly and efficiently, and with less fatigue. And it adjusts to suit operators of all sizes.

    • The large, uncluttered platform offers plenty of legroom, even with a hydraulic joystick for the front-end loader, so climbing on is not an awkward exercise. A thick rubber floor mat (Hydrostatic models only) reduces dust and noise in the operator area.
    • Intuitive controls are easy to identify and understand. Color coded, embossed levers are always right where you expect them to be—no stretching, no reaching, no hassles—so you can be confident of your every move.
    • Contoured fenders to your right and left hold the controls for transmission, PTO and 3-point hitch. They come naturally to your hand in a relaxed position.
    • A high-backed, contoured seat slides on an inclined/declined track to put you in the perfect position to achieve the best visibility and reach controls easily. It also features an adjustable suspension for comfort and swivels to make it easy to view your work or the tractor implement behind you.
    • The tilt and telescoping steering wheel (hydrostatic model only) has infinite settings that allow you to adjust the wheel to suit you perfectly. And the hydrostatic power steering will minimize the effort it takes to maneuver the tractor.
    • The safety-start system includes an operator presence switch under the seat. If you leave the seat, under certain circumstances, the tractor automatically shuts itself off.
    • A standard auxiliary power outlet provides a convenient power source for a cell phone, cooler or anything requiring 12v power.
    • A toolbox is standard on hydrostatic models and optional on gear models.
  • SuperSteer™ FWD Axle (optional)

    VIEW VIDEOS

    Only On A Boomer

The patented, award-winning SuperSteer™ front-wheel drive axle option has an extremely tight turnaround diameter.

You'll maneuver easily around obstacles and make extra-tight turns at the end of each pass, when mowing or grading, to complete the job more quickly and efficiently.
How does it work? The SuperSteer FWD axle articulates when the wheels turn. The inside wheel moves away from the frame, while the outside wheel moves in front of the bumper/nose of the tractor, providing more tire clearance and a greater turn angle. And the SuperSteer wheelbase is longer than conventional FWD, providing a smoother more stable ride.

  • Sensitrak™ System (Optional)

    VIEW VIDEOS

    Only On A Boomer

You won't find the Sensitrak system on any other brand of tractors. It automatically engages front-wheel drive (FWD) when extra pulling power is needed, and releases FWD when you no longer need it.

The Sensitrak system eliminates scuffing of turf in mowing applications (especially in turning), reduces wear and tear on your tractor's front tires, and increases the life of driveline components. You don't have to think about when you need to engage the front wheels—the tractor decides for you. Or, you can choose FWD full time when the job demands it.

  • SuperSuite™ Cab (optional)

    VIEW PHOTOS

    Only On A Boomer

Add a SuperSuite Cab to your Boomer 3040 Compact Tractor and work in supreme comfort, style and convenience.

Its innovative design provides the most comfortable environment available in a compact tractor cab, keeping the operator protected from weather and removed from dust and noise. The cab's unique roof profile also keeps the overall height low, so the tractor can clear an 8 ft. opening.

    • All-direction visibility is outstanding.
    • The exclusive high-visibility roof panel allows you to see the loader through a full range of operation for increased productivity.
    • Generous 60 cu.ft. of interior space provides a roomy work area. Hip, leg and head room is generous.
    • A wide 16.5" entry threshold and two large doors, with grab rails and gas strut assist, make it easy to enter and exit.
    • A deluxe cloth-covered seat with weight adjustable suspension and swivel lets any operator find the perfect position.

    Standard features:

    VIEW PHOTOS

The Boomer 3040 Compact Tractors' innovative styling makes you more productive and safe. The sloped Boomer Tractor hood design and matching curved-boom loaders give you a clear view of what you're lifting so you can work with confidence.

  • Serviceability

    VIEW PHOTOS

The Boomer 3040 Compact Tractor is very easy to service.

Because it's easier to maintain, you won't put off routine tractor maintenance tasks—and as a result, you'll extend the life of your tractor.

    • Fuel up or check the oil without lifting the hood.
    • Boomer fuel capacity is among the largest you'll find on the market so you can operate for longer periods without filling up.
    • Fuel tanks are conveniently located behind the operator seat and have wide fill necks for easy refueling.
    • The Boomer Tractor hood flips up on a gas strut to provide complete access to the engine, battery, radiator and filters—all without tools, without clumsy prop rods and without removing the front grill as is required on some competitive models.
    • A service schedule is posted under the hood to help you remember routine maintenance.
    • Radiator access and maintenance is as simple as raising the hood.
    • Check the transmission, rear axle, and hydraulic system fluid levels using a dipstick located at the rear of the tractor.
    • The battery is located in front of the radiator for easy access.
    • Dual-element air filter protects the engine in dusty conditions.
    • Single-element fuel filter protects the engine's fuel injection system from things like rust, dirt and water.
    • A full-flow, spin-on oil filter provides protection to the engine lubricating system.
  • Deluxe 3-Point Hitch

    VIEW PHOTOS

The 3-Point Hitch is the standard system for attaching tractor implements. But the Boomer 3040 Tractor improve on the standard with deluxe features that make switching implements easy.

You won't have to waste time backing your tractor into exactly the right position for hookup. The flexible link ends, telescoping stabilizers, swinging drawbar and crank-style leveling adjustment allow just one person to fine-tune the connection easily. An adjustable stop on the control lever allows you to return the hitch to a preset position for consistent, level plowing or grading. And the Boomer 3040 lift capacity of 2330 lbs (at 24" behind link ends) allows you to choose larger, more efficient implements.

  • Transmission Options

You have a choice of transmissions on your Boomer 3040 Compact Tractor: a Hydrostatic Transmission, or a 12 x 12 Synchronized Shuttle Shift Transmission.

    Hydrostatic Transmission

    • For the ultimate in smooth, easy operation, the 4 speed Hydrostatic Transmission allows you to adjust speed and change from forward to reverse using 2 foot pedals. There's no need to use a clutch or shift levers.
    • The exclusive, state-of-the-art DualPower™ powershift control is provided on the right-hand console and the loader joystick lever (if equipped with a loader). It doubles your speed choices by providing a "High" and "Low" shift at any speed in either of the two ranges. Press the "tortoise" button to downshift on the go when you need extra power, like when pushing into a pile with a loader. Then press the "hare" button to upshift when exiting the pile and you need more speed.

12 x 12 Synchronized Shuttle Shift (SSS) Transmission

    • The broad selection of speeds and the ease of shuttling make the 12 x 12 SSS transmission well suited for working with a loader and other jobs like tilling and mowing. When changing gears, simply depress the clutch, choose another gear, release the clutch and go. There's no need to come to a complete stop because the gears are synchronized.
    • 12 forward and 12 reverse gears provide a broad range of speed choices. The shift is located to the left of the steering wheel allowing you to shift and control the loader or implement.
  • Lighting

    VIEW PHOTOS

The Boomer 3040 Compact Tractor's lighting package illuminates your work area to both front and side with 4 lights instead of 2, so you can get work done safely and efficiently in low light or nighttime situations. Four powerful halogen headlights brighten your path, and their high-mount location ensures superior lighting even when using front mounted attachments.

  • Independent PTO System

    VIEW PHOTOS

Power Take-Offs (PTOs) are rotating drive shafts, on the rear and middle of your tractor. Driven by the engine, they provide power to different kinds of implements.

With an independent PTO system, the PTO will continue to run, if engaged, regardless of clutching, changing gears or changing direction of the tractor. This convenient feature makes working with implements easy and efficient especially when working in and around obstacles or when a lot of direction changes are needed.

  • Foldable ROPS

    VIEW PHOTOS

The Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) is a roll bar mounted on the tractor that protects the operator if the machine tips over. All Boomer Tractors have a ROPS that folds down when it isn't needed, allowing you to take the tractor into low clearance areas, like under trees or lower entryways.

  • Cruise Control (Hydrostatic models only)

    VIEW PHOTOS

When you need to work at a constant speed, for instance, when mowing large areas or driving the tractor to another worksite, the cruise control allows you to maintain a set speed for extended periods without keeping your foot on the pedal. It disengages automatically when you step on the brakes, just like a car.

  • Hydrostatic Power Steering

    VIEW PHOTOS

Standard on all Boomer Tractors, Hydrostatic Power Steering provides precise, consistent response with very little effort.

  • Heavy Duty Rear Axle

    VIEW PHOTOS

Induction hardened rear axles supported by heavy-duty cast iron housings are designed into every New Holland tractor for maximum dependability with heavy implements and demanding torque loads.

  • High Capacity Hydraulic Flow

    VIEW PHOTOS

The Boomer 3040 Compact Tractor's high-capacity, live hydraulics provide power to the 3-Point Hitch and remote valves, giving you fast implement response. Separate pumps for implements and steering provide excellent performance in high demand situations.

    • A dedicated gear pump supplies generous hydraulic flow to power a loader, backhoe or other hydraulically-operated equipment.
    • A separate steering pump supplies power to the Hydrostatic power steering system.
  • Differential Lock

The Differential Lock foot pedal provides you with extra traction when you need it. If your rear wheels begin to lose traction, simply push down on the heel pedal and both wheels lock together to pull through slippery conditions.

  • Modern Styling & Design

The sloped Boomer Tractor hood and the matching curved-boom loaders not only look great, but they also provide outstanding visibility. High-impact polymer panels feature a premium paint finish that resists chipping and fading.
